How was your weekend guys? Mine was awesomely uneventful. I left my house once, for a Target run with the girls, that’s IT. And it felt good. Typically, I jam pack activities, errands, dinners, and pretty much anything to be busy and productive into our weekends. But at 32-feels-like-36 weeks pregnant, its’ time to slow my roll. I’m busy nesting on the home front though, and with two high energy toddlers, there’s still never a dull moment at Casa Z. We had family over for dinner on Saturday night, and cooked up this yummy go-to chicken recipe. And then yesterday the girls and I made lemon brown butter crinkle cookies from the October issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine. {recipe not online just yet}
I’ll be throwing this cape sweater over pretty much everything this fall. Mostly tees and denim, but occasionally a little more dressed up like today’s look with a silk button down and suede heels. I’m full on into maternity jeans now and this pair is the most comfortable I’ve found, and cropped happens to be on trend for fall. As for tops, I’m still buying non-maternity just a size or two up. Equipment button down blouses have been a go-to of mine for two pregnancies now. They are so comfortable and will remain closet staples after the baby comes too. I’ll soon be subbing in flats or tennis shoes for heels, but surprisingly this pair is still working for me.
It’s a busy week for L. Avenue. We’re covering our favorite looks from the streets of New York Fashion Week, more outfit posts and I’ll throw in a little life update for good measure. Happy Monday, y’all!
