Double denim can be hard to pull off. It’s all about pairing the right shades of denim on top and bottom and quite honestly requires some trial and error once you decide to go for it. I tend to stick to a lightweight softer shade on top with a darker denim on bottom. Today I’m easing into the double denim waters by pairing denim flats with a new wrap skirt by Free People. I’m in love with the denim pieces in Free People’s spring collection and found so many wardrobe winners at Nordstrom recently. I’ve been on the hunt for the right denim skirt for a while. Most I’ve tried are too short or have an awkward fit. I’m sans hips, and I think hips are pretty key for most denim skirts. However, a wrap skirt is perfect for most body types, since you can adjust for whatever your hip situation is. Did I mention my outfit is on major sale? This Free People top + bottom is under $100.
