Happy spring break week guys! Are you spring breaking anywhere fun? Mine started with a trip to Vail for a bachelorette party. Although it was a pretty perfect weekend, I was definitely ready to get back to the hubs and kiddos. It’s funny, no matter how crazy the hubs and kids might drive me (and me, them), they are my team, my people. And even though my weekend away was pretty top notch, I’m complete again when I return to my sweet little fam. Absence sure does make the heart grow fonder. And I didn’t think my heart had any room to grow!
Packing for the Colorado trip was a challenge because the temps were all over the place. It was chilly in the morning warming up to the 50’s during the day and then frigid at night. This poncho was the perfect piece for mountain days, I wore it over a light sweater for morning coffee and by lunchtime I felt great in a tee shirt with this cuddly number draped overtop. It’s the perfect spring transition piece and I’ll be sure to break it out during cool summer nights. (not Houston summer obvi). My original plan was to wear ugg boots the entire time I was in the mountains, but it was warm enough for flats. These ballet flats have been my go-to travel shoe for years now. They are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned and occupy little space in the luggage, so there’s more room for furry little friends with big eyes like this guy and this guy.
