You’ll Want All This Western-Inspired Wear Whether You’re a Texan or Not

February 22, 2019

Happy Go Texan Day to all our readers celebrating! For those unfamiliar with the festivities, today marks the start of Rodeo season as droves of cowboys head into Houston on horseback. Over the years, I’ve really come into my Texas spirit, and my style choices have showcased as such. Scroll below for five of my most Western-inspired looks on L. Avenue if you’re at a loss for what to wear to your scheduled Rodeo outings. Plus, we’ve pulled together a ton of great styles that suit the occasion available now that we feel strongly Texans and non-Texans alike could rock all year.

I love this unexpected Western look with no denim in sight, pulled together from pieces I wear year-round.

I really leaned into the Rodeo look for this post just last year and wound up loving the ease and comfort of this cotton tee and embroidered skirt combo. Read the post for more on my affection for this season.

Now, cue the denim! These three weeks provide the perfect opportunity to pull out your funkiest pair like this patchwork style.

Suede and fringe are two other elements I never shy away from when putting together my Rodeo apparel. This look incorporates both, and the neutral color palette helps the textures shine.

While this look isn’t strikingly Western per se, I can so see the skirt paired with a light denim jacket for an easy and cool concert look or during the day to take the kids to see the world-class Livestock show.

Whether you’re missing the bag, boots or blouse to complete your look for Brooks & Dunn or Brad Paisley, we’ve got you covered! Shop below, and have the best weekend!
