LBD updated

September 29, 2016

Every closet needs a token LBD. A little black number that is a go-to anytime you a. have no time to figure out an outfit and b. you want to put on something that will make you feel like a million bucks. LBD’s are versatile because their neutral nature allows for accessory optionality. They can be dressed up or down and pretty much save the day whenever you reach for them. I love this flowy Nanette Lepore dress because it’s feminine and also boho at the same time with a really rad embroidered detail. This is a great dress for a fall wedding, but you could also totally rock booties with it when the weather cools down.

As the bump grows it’s getting slightly more challenging finding flattering dresses that are non-maternity. It’s strange the aversion I have to certain styles during this pregnancy. Maybe it’s because it’s my third and well, the bump is waaay lower and waaay larger. So the belted bump look just isn’t working for me. This dress ties in the front which acts like a belt but doesn’t look like one. When I tried it on at a favorite Houston boutique, Monkees, I instantly felt like my old twirling self again in it.

Here are some of my favorite LBD’s for fall
