Well, that’s all folks. Summer travel is officially complete. I caught a major travel bug this summer. I’ve got a gypsy soul but more than anything I think I had the mentality that we better scratch all of the travel itches before baby #3 is here. I saw a Mom getting on our airplane on our last flight, one kid strapped to her front, another to her back and the third kid (no older than 4 or 5) schlepping a back pack that no doubt weighed more than he did. No dad or helper present. Oh, and the 4 year old had on a tee shirt that read, ” My dad is rad.” Yeah, he’s pretty rad skipping out on that flight. Ha! All joking aside, I can’t image travel with a baby and two toddlers. Bret seems to think I’ll be right back to my normal {insane} self asking, “Where to next?” before it’s 2017. I disagree. I’m ready to take a break from the planning, packing and schlepping for a while and enjoy our town, our home and our awesome backyard. Plus, tolerable Houston weather is just around the corner. All the more reason to remove the suitcase from the bedroom floor for the first time in months.

It was a pretty epic summer though. I really want to make a photo album of our last family trips, just the 4 of us. It’s on the to do before baby list. Although I still haven’t made a wedding album and we’ve been married 5 years. Priorities. Ha. Today’s outfit was perfect for cooler Santa Barbara nights. It’s a new Alice + Olivia pre-fall piece but totally works for summertime too. For fall, I plan to rock it with these booties. I debated whether or not I’m too old for a minidress, but think this dress is perfect because it’s more conservative on top and the caftan shape is super flattering on all body types, including my baby bump bod.
