So I mentioned A Couture Cause a few weeks back and the trend guide launch party is TODAY. I have to admit, I’ve been pretty stressed that I spent all of this time building something and nobody would show up. I mean, tickets aren’t cheap and even though it’s for two amazing charities, it’s still a big ask. I’ve been blown away by how generous our community is. And it’s been equally cool to see so many amazing women, boutiques and eateries came together to pull off tonight. We’re having the party at this rad Houston venue, Station 3, and I plan on being on the dance floor most of the evening. Maybe next year we’ll do a charity dance-off. Hmm….
Today’s outfit is all about the jacket. This jacket is a statement piece if I’ve ever seen one. Holy awesome sporty, chic embellishments! I love the color combo and it’s shockingly versatile. I’m dressing it up here for a charity event or special night out and plan to rock it with jeans too. And my matching black and white top/skirt is minimal with just the right touch of edge. The sheer panel is perfect on this fun fit and flare skirt. Add a pop of a blue suede shoe, Elvis would approve. And I don’t think the shoe and jacket compete here, they’re totally in sync for a night on the dance floor.
