Is this rad photo backdrop competing with my outfit? I think so and I’m cool with that. I really love living in a city where art is literally on every street corner. Houston is known for it’s wonderful art museums and lately we’re putting ourselves on the map for our street art. I love having such vibrant pops of color brightening up the streets in my town. I plan to highlight the amazing artists and exhibits in our city on my blog as often as I can and am excited to give y’all a sneak peak at a mural by the incredibly talented Michael Savoie today.
But if we can talk clothes for a minute, this outfit was purchased with one thing in mind, a beach vacay. B and I escaped to the British Virgin Islands a week ago and I wanted something light and breezy with a bold pop of color for our trip. This skirt was exactly what I was looking for. It’s actually more of a skort, with a legit pair of shorts hiding underneath a pretty impressive slit on the side. It was perfect for a romantic dinner on the beach but also works for a family barbecue when paired with some easy flats and a linen tee. I’ll be wearing this gem all summer long.
