Now that winter is finally in the rearview mirror, I’m super excited to bring y’all a springtime entertaining collaboration with one of my favorite home-goods lines, Azulina ceramics. So today wer’re celebrating spring (yippee!!) and, drum roll please….a big discount from Azulina exclusively for L. Avenue readers (wahoo!!).  I’m such a big fan of this gorgeous hand painted dinnerware line. I bought an 8 piece ‘Clasico’ place setting at a charity auction and I’ve used it non-stop ever since.  It’s so pretty and it’s practical too. It’s all dishwasher, microwave and oven safe, but still looks like something more special than your everyday dinnerware. Had this line been around when I got married, I totally would have registered for it (if Azulina isn’t in a store in your area, you can register online here).

It’s a priority of mine to support women entrepreneurs any chance I get. Azulina’s founder, Melissa, a Houstonian, moved to Colombia several years ago to pursue a career in natural resources investing when she stumbled on a small town with a 100+ year old ceramics making tradition. She fell in love with the colorful blue and white ceramics and decided to start a business aimed to support the artisanal tradition of hand-painted ceramics. As they say the rest is history and now we have these gorgeous ceramics available for the first time ever in the US, including Renovate, one of my new favorite ‘everything’ boutiques. And by everything, I’m talking the most amazing, curated selection of furniture, home accessories, gifts and so much more.

The blue and white pattern is so classic and looks great with white placemats and linens. I love the simplicity of these vases filled with individual flowers, which add a nice pop of color for springtime entertaining. A grouping of small vases still makes an impact but is much more budget friendly than a larger arrangement. I actually made friends with the florist at my grocery store who gives me a great deal on one-off flowers that fell out of bouquets or didn’t sell on their own. Kind of like the island of misfit toys, flower edition. These flower misfits are super stars at my house. 🙂
