I think many of us have hopped on the bandwagon of staying in on Valentine’s, but there’s no need to make the holiday feel like just another night at home. We teamed up with Houston’s tried-and-true hardware and homeware destination, Bering’s, to bring you a tablescape oozing with feminine beauty that will inspire your party planning well beyond the 14th of February.
I started with crisp white linens to set the stage for all the shades of pink to really pop. One trick I turn to again and again when playing host is placing vintage bud vases across the runner to let all the gorgeous buds have their own moment and avoid overwhelming the table with florals. It may appear bare at first, but once you add the main attraction (food and guests!), it will all feel complete.
The Herend Chinese Bouquet china pattern always feels so romantic and classsic, but I love how this hot pink colorway makes it feel modern and fresh, too.
Each place setting is done subtly different, and I love the variety. The gold cutlery maintains some consistency, and I die for the porcelain flowers atop each plate.
We love the idea of having your go-to girlfriends over and leaning into the European lifestyle with a little vino during a leisurely lunch. I spread bottles of rosé from our favorite winery in Santa Barbara, Alma Rosa, and it looked all the prettier poured into these etched coupe glasses.
