We had a BIG Memorial Day weekend filled with a special visit from my sister (in town from Ohio!), bike rides in the new neighborhood, lots of pool time, and an impromptu pool party at our house.
Coming off the high energy weekend left me totally wiped out today. And it’s a short week because I’m heading to Europe on Friday! I can’t believe I’m actually typing that last sentence. My baby sister is studying abroad in England so I’m meeting her across the pond for a quick trip to celebrate her college graduation. I’ve been counting down the days for this vacation, but am having a hard time truly getting excited because of some major mom guilt over leaving the kiddos. The longest I’ve ever left them is 3 nights which by night 3 I’m so ready to be home. We’re spending the majority of our time in Soutern Italy which I hear is truly magical, so I’m hoping this magic will fend off any homesick blues.
I stared packing for the trip today and am going with mostly casual outfits. I’m trying to narrow down my shoe and bag options to save room in the suitcase, but this parrot novelty bag keeps appearing into my line of sight, how can I leave this fun guy behind?! A white slide sandal is also a must, because they work from day to night and are practical enough for long walks post pasta and gelato!
