spring’s IT color | yellow

March 27, 2017

What’s on tap for the week, y’all? I’m heading out to Round Top, Texas with some friends. I think I’m the last Texan chick who has yet to experience Round Top, it’s supposed to be pretty rad. A flea market of sorts with antiques, jewelry and treasures and trinkets galore. I’ve got my cowboy boots packed and I’m ready to explore!

I won’t be packing today’s dress for my trip, the only thing in my suitcase is denim, denim and more denim. But I have lots of plans for this fun yellow frock this spring. I haven’t been able to squeeze into anything by Self Portrait post-baby, but this yellow shirt dress was a perfect fit. It’s a lot more forgiving than the typical Self-Portrait silhouette and I love the combination of ruffles and asymmetrical details. The open back is tastefully done and adds a little wow factor. I styled this dress with these neutral sandals, but I think you can dress it up even more with these sandals or even make it a casual day dress with these sneakers.

I’m having a moment with yellow–spring’s IT color, and linked some of my favorite yellow numbers below.
