Capri, you’re magical. When we were deciding where to go in Italy, I received mixed reviews of Capri. I can’t tell you how helpful the feedback was from Insta Stories, thank you if you responded to my post! I did a little more digging into the love/hate relationship with Capri and it seems liked the make or break factor is whether your Capri visit is a day trip or overnight. What I learned is that Capri can be very overcrowded during the daytime with boat trips, cruise ships etc. coming in for just the day. Tourists and people everywhere! The last boats leave late afternoon and the city is pure magic by dusk. There’s no driving in a lot of the town, so people wander the tiny streets, popping into stores (the shopping is AMAZING!) and dining outdoors at restaurants along the way.
I digress here, but needed to get that tidbit out into the world! Now, let’s cover what to wear in Capri, shall we?! Capri is definitely more dressy than Positano, but still a beach town so linens and sandals still totally work. For daytime shopping and exploring, I went for a casual denim skirt, light-weight button down and sneakers. I also love a simple maxi-skirt and v-neck tee and sandal for warm summer days. After the sun goes down I like a dressier maxi dress or linen pants with a fun top. Don’t forget a jacket or wrap because it definitely cools off when the sun goes down.
Here are a few of the outfits I wore in Capri. If you’re planning a trip to Capri, feel free to d/m me on Instagram, I love answering your questions! It’s a magical place to visit!
