Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on our blessings. What are you thankful for this holiday season? I’m thankful for so much, it’s pretty amazing the blessings that God has given me, the greatest blessing of all is my family of 5. This past year has been a whirlwind adding another child to our tribe.  Our new normal has been a completely chaotic, but awesome adventure that I’m thankful to experience every day.

I’m also very thankful for you guys, my fabulous L. Avenue readers. I feel more connected with y’all now than any other time in my 5 years of blogging. Local Houston readers approach me around town and I love meeting everybody. And Instagram has been such a great spot to connect with readers from all over. Please keep the comments and communication coming, it really inspires me to keep moving forward with this career while raising my little ones.

I love Thanksgiving so much because it’s not about gifts or forced parties, it’s about quality time with family and the people we’re closest to. I couldn’t be more excited to get to celebrate with both of my families this Thanksgiving. We’re headed to Ohio to spend time with my family and then to Tennessee to be with Bret’s crew. Please remind me to re-read this gratitude post when we’re schlepping our fam across the U.S. during the busiest travel week of the year, alright?!

I’m not hosting anything this year, but felt inspired to put together a festive holiday tablescape in case it’s your turn to host! I teamed up with Maxit Flower Design on this gorgeous, festive floral arrangement which is such a statement centerpiece. I love the mix of fall foliage with greenery and romantic roses that Maria of Maxit Design put together.

My wedding china is really pretty for holidays and I found these inexpensive gold chargers to complete the place setting. I’m pretty basic when it comes to linens and use simple white linen placemats most of the time. I added in some more seasonal touches like pumpkin place card holders and autumnal green napkins. Lastly, I love calling on my talented friends for the more artsy pieces of my table and Meg Grant is my go-to for peronaliszed place cards. Her beautiful calligraphy cards add such a special touch to the tablescape. All that’s missing are my favorite people and a Thanksgiving feast!
