Hey y’all! How was the weekend? I went into major spring cleaning mode over the weekend. My immune system must be really, really low because I caught the organization bug and which is very rare for this clutter queen. Instagram stories recapped my office situation. It’s crazy because just a few consecutive hours of organizing can eradicate months of pile up. But how many of us ever have that much uninterrupted time?!
Anyway….spring cleaning has me zoned in on my spring wardrobe needs. And this off the shoulder tunic from J. McLaughlin is going to be on repeat this season. I snatched it up a few weeks ago because of the bold blue and white stripe, and pretty tie sleeve. The outfit combos are endless with this top and today we’re rocking it with two different skirts.
I love this white denim pencil skirt, it feels very 80’s to me, but works when paired with a top that’s more of the moment. It’s more conservative than a lot of the denim mini’s that are hot for spring. I wore it to pick the girls up from school last week (with this tee-a scarf necklace and these flats) and received so many compliments on my outfit. It was as easy as the denim shorts or jeans I typically rock, but a total crowd pleaser.
J. McLaughlin’s multi-color striped skirt is going to be a go-to for church and luncheons. I love the unexpected mix of prints when pairing stripes with stripes. And you too, friends, can try this spring print mixing at home. Just be sure to keep your stripes in the same color family. I’m tucking my tunic today, but will also wear it out, over white denim too. Have a great week, y’all!
