what to wear | Thanksgiving outfits

November 9, 2016

Thanksgiving will be here in a blink. November always flies by, don’t you think? I’ve had my girls’ Thanksgiving outfits picked out for a month now but when it comes to what I’ll wear it’s typically a game-day decision. And then I’m bummed that I didn’t pick up something festive for the occasion.  My family keep it pretty causal on Thanksgiving, but I’d still like a little something new for one of my favorite holidays. So the team at L. Avenue put together a little Thanksgiving inspired outfit guide in case you do too. Gobble this guide up, it’s calorie free.

What to wear | Thanksgiving edition

I love this faux suede vest (under $100) with this ivory top underneath, denim and booties. This chic sweater dress could be dressed up, but I’d probably wear mine with slides for a more laid back occasion. Military inspired, so also super on trend. Speaking of trends, the color “rust” has been hot for fall and it’s exactly the rich orange that I think of for Thanksgiving. I love this sleeveless sweater ($73), this cardigan, and this gorgeous blouse.

I also love this ruffle sleeve sweater ($88) with a fun earring or chunky necklace in a festive Thanksgiving hue. Maybe this earring or this necklace or this statement necklace.

These faux leather leggings (come in black, maroon and gray) and  are super chic with a longer sweater, this guy or this one too.

I plan to rock this blazer for a Thanksgiving/Christmas 1-2 punch. It’s festive, on trend and I can dress it down for Turkey day with a button down or even a tee (if it’s warm in Houston) underneath. And up come Christmas time with a statement top underneath. Guess what, I found a steal version at Nordstrom here.

This cold shoulder sweater ($99) is so pretty for holidays. I love it with denim or dressed up with velvet flare pants.

Here’s another outfit I previously blogged that would be super cute for Turkey day! Shopping details here
