How was the weekend, guys? My birthday weekend was pretty exciting, given the false alarm labor trip to the hospital on Saturday. As uncomfortable as I am at 39 weeks today (measuring 41, yikes!), I’m pretty glad the baby didn’t come over the weekend because a. my doc was out of the country and b. my dad is flying in today so he’ll be here for the birth now. I can’t even begin to tell you how special it is to have my dad here for the birth of our third child. We’ll be rocking it old school when Bret shares the “It’s a _____” with my dad and his parents in just a few days.
In other important news, how much Halloween candy have you taken down already? I hope a lot, so I don’t feel so badly about my candy consumption thus far. My go-to candy craving of choice this Halloween is Skittles, I can’t stop eating them. We may not have any candy left come trick-or-treat tonight!
In case you missed my first outfit with this pink blazer click here. I’ve worn today’s blazer on repeat lately so wanted to share another way to wear it. Especially if you might be a little gun shy about introducing a bold blazer to your wardrobe. Blazers are my uniform and I think they are classic staples worth investing in. A bright blazer spices up even the simplest of outfits and this J. Crew piece is pink perfection. You can easily go classic with this look with a crisp white button down but I was in print heaven when I found this swan landscape print button down.
And if pink isn’t your jam, I’m also digging this blazer and this gem for fall.
