I have to admit, I’ve taken a different maternity styling approach this third pregnancy, gravitating to more oversized pieces to hide the bump. It’s not that I’m not totally proud and excited about being pregnant, I’ve just been bump-conscious if you will. I popped out way faster and with each pregnancy gravity pulls that bump lower and lower.
We’re not hiding anything with today’s little black dress. Hello world, here’s my bump-a-licious pregnancy bod! Most of the fitted dressed I’ve tried on have been instant NO’s. But the material of this Trina Turk dress is super stretchy (and so comfy) and it does a pretty good job smoothing out all of the lumpy areas. HA. I typically have more of a boy shape, so I actually feel really curvy and womanly in this dress too. And I’m totally channeling my inner-Elle Woods with the outfit combo. And I’m pretty sure I’ll get to break this guy out again post-baby because the material seems to be forgiving but then bounces back after being stretched out just a tad.
In other news, have y’all started CHRISTMAS SHOPPING yet? I typically don’t give it any thought until after Thanksgiving, but with a new baby on the way, I’m focused on knocking it out early this year. In case you guys are on the ball, we’re planning to put out 2 holiday gift guides on L. Avenue each week starting next week. I did do a little holiday party dress shopping today and found some really great pieces, in case you’re morally against buying for Christmas gifts before Halloween! Ha.
