I can’t believe summer is drawing to a close. In some ways our summer flew by. We traveled A LOT, making stops for quality time with friends and family in Ohio, South Carolina, Colorado, and California (twice!). It was pretty exciting bouncing from one spot to the next, although the pep in my step slowly dwindled, my energy level along with it. Maybe it’s because traveling with toddlers is exhausting. Or maybe it’s because there’s another human growing inside of me. Ha. I’m happy to be home now and am nesting in manic fashion. Let no closet or drawer go untouched!
Anyway, looking back on the summer of fashion, two pieces stuck out as my winning purchases. A top and a bag that come next April I’ll be counting down the days until they’re in season again. This off-the-shoulder tunic was so easy with shorts and denim and worked great with the baby bump. Not to mention it was a steal. I could actually see myself wearing this for a little while longer underneath this sleeveless blazer with dark denim and a suede pump. And then there’s another under $100 purchase, the IT bag of summer by Cult Gaia. I originally raved about this gem here. I love it so much I can’t bear to store it away in my closet. It’s sitting proudly on a stack of coffee table books, a little nightstand candy, until I wear it again next year.
So long summer….you were good to me.
