Maybe it’s the cooler Colorado temps, or maybe it’s the fact that the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is just a few short weeks away. This sale is my favorite of the year because it’s so unlike any other sale out there. Traditional sales are structured to move items that didn’t sell that season. So, who really needs more shorts and summer dresses come late July? What we need is to stock up on fall staples and the Nordstrom Anniversary sale discounts all of my favorite fall pieces for a limited time frame. A lot of what you’ll see in the anniversary sale rarely goes on sale any other time but this sale. Then they go back to regular price after the sale is over. I love it because my mentality is that I can snatch up all of the best outfits and accessories for fall before they sell out AND they’re also discounted. Win, win. Not to mention that I’m proactively knocking out the fall wardrobe in July.
So three pieces of today’s outfit make for perfect fall transition; suede mules, suede detail crossbody bag, silk blouse. The suede mules are seasonless and mules are making a huge comeback this fall. And even though my crossbody is a lighter neutral, the suede detail makes it totally fall approved. As for my blouse, I love the idea of pairing a soft pastel with bolder fall colors. A blazer, denim and booties would help transition my blouse for cooler temps ahead.
