Did y’all watch the Oscars tonight?! If L. Avenue is doling out best dressed awards they’re gong to Olivia Wilde in Valentino, Olivia Munn in Stella McCartney, Saoirse Ronan in Calvin Klein, Reese Witherspoon in Oscar de la Renta. And the dark horse award goes to Margot Robbie in DVF who might have been a close second to Munn who stole the show. So I had this epiphany during the Oscars. I can’t make it through a movie at home without falling asleep. Can you guys relate? I couldn’t believe it, every time a new film got the Oscar I asked Bret, “Have we seen this?” To my surprise he’s seen almost every movie. Me on the other hand lucky to make it through the opening scence. Oh wait, there was ONE Oscar winner that I’d seen. The Pixar fave Inside Out, and yes folks I’m proud to say I’ve watched this gem from beginning to end. Multiple times. And I can quote most scenes, “Thanks a lot San Francisco, you ruined pizza!” I think I need a sick day to binge watch all of these great movies that Bret has already checked off the list while I snore next to him.
In other news, this is my last ditch effort to get you to join Overall Nation and go denim onesie or bust. Seriously though, I’ve been rocking my overalls a lot lately and I know you’ve already seen this pair on L. Avenue, but this further proves the utility of this sweet denim jumpsuit. Doesn’t a denim jumpsuit sound SO much cuter than overalls? In case the first way I styled this denim gem didn’t float your boat, here’s another way I like to wear mine. Today’s look mixes trendy {overalls} and edgy {moto jacket} but is still pretty sophisticated and age appropriate {chic Mignonne Gavigan scarf necklace + cult fave Mansur Gavriel bucket bag}. Time out, did I just say “age appropriate?! I’m heading towards mid-thirties on the express train so I guess it might be time to start this whole “dressing for your age” dialogue.
