Hellooooo friends! Hope your weekend was fun and you’re not dragging too badly from Super Bowl festivities last night. Unless my team’s in the championship, I’m really just in it for the nachos and commercials, which never disappoint. But I do have a cousin in Denver, so was cheering on the Bronco’s last night a little more so than years past. {Hey Steph!} I have to say I tuned in more this Super Bowl than any I can remember and it was pretty darn entertaining. The halftime show was amazing; I’m a huge Coldplay fan and Beyonce and Bruno were insanely good.
Anyway, I spent the largest chunk of the weekend gearing up for New York Fashion Week. This is the one trip that takes me more than the night before to pack for. Winter clothes take up so much space and the shoe struggle for a February rendezvous in NYC is real. I’ll freeze for fashion though. There’s something about winter fashion week that warms my soul, fighting off frostbite on the fingers and toes like no other cold weather trip I’ve known. I’m super pumped for a few action-packed days of shows, meetings, good food and good friends in my favorite city.
So here’s a quick outfit that most likely won’t make the suitcase cut, but I love it nonetheless. I’ve been wearing this poncho non-stop. It’s cuddly but not so heavy so you can layer another long sleeve top or turtleneck underneath. I’d sub in sneakers for pumps with this look more often than not. Although this heel is a great height for bopping around town.
