Making my to-do list and checking it twice. Is it just me or does the list seem to get longer and longer around the holidays every year?! I’ll be running around town starting and finishing my shopping, rush-shipping gifts, and then most likely wrapping/putting together toys minutes before Santa comes to devour our Christmas cookies. There’s one difference to this holiday season though. I’m not stressed out. Yep, the list is long, but the time of year is my favorite and I’m not going to let the grinch rear his ugly head like I have in years past. I’m having fun with my kids, enjoying my family and if my house is a mess and the gifts look like my 4-year-old wrapped them (she probably did!) the show will go on. And no matter what, the memories I’ll take with me from this special yet undeniably chaotic time will be all about the people I was with. Now where’s the egg nog?!
