Instagram has me longing to live in a climate that calls for coats, boots and all things fall. Unfortunately, September and October are the most difficult months for dressing in Houston. It’s still SO hot here. I want nothing more than to kick linen, tank tops and flip flops to the back of the closet subbing in my long missed booties, sweaters and fall blazers. But it would be insane to wear wool and cashmere when it’s still 90 degrees outside. Although I did I brave the elements (sweating underneath layers and fur) for fall blog posts (here and here).
This conundrum that is fall dressing is going to make morning outfit decisions annoying for a little while longer. So I got creative and turned my most favorite fall vest into a dress. Something this cool had to be worn, regardless of the current weather conditions. And the few times we’ve had temps in the 70’s I’ve paired it with a white tee and jeans. Still I’m longing for the day when I can finally wear it with warmer layers. Soon, hopefully….
