The thought of layers during the summer in Houston of all places just sounds hot to me. But if you find a breezy skirt and pair it with something lightweight it’s possible to achieve a layered, put together look. Crop tops are still all the rage, but I’m pretty particular about mine providing full tummy coverage so a high waisted skirt or pants is a must. I love this easy cotton skirt. It’s super comfy and goes with so much of my summer wardrobe staples. And I can’t resist a button down that layers well, not to mention a navy gingham pattern screams summertime. I’m dressing this look up with some bright snakeskin sandals but it could easily go the more casual route with neutral wedges.
