It was a rookie mistake assuming all of the fashion shows would be at the same place. The reality was that fashion week presentations and events were put on all over Manhattan. So running around the City with bare legs and peep toes wasn’t going to cut it. As logistically crazy as it was (30 minutes to hail a cab, 30 minutes in a cab, 8 minute runway show and then back in the cab again), it was totally worth it. We were essentially gallery hopping the City, with my favorite dsigners the featured artists. High fashion in some of the most gorgeous spaces in the City. It still feels like a dream to me…
Of all the outfits I packed for NYFW, this outfit was by far the most practical for February in NYC. Luckily, a few days prior to leaving for NYC, I snagged this super fab coat thanks to a blogger friend’s Instagram pic and could not have been happier with it. Not to mention it was on major sale. Black and white is never going out of style and I love that you can pretty much hide your entire face/body inside this oversized coat, perfect for temps in the negatives. I rocked four layers up top that day. Starting with my tried and true goes-under-everything camisole, then a cashmere sweater and this cool jacket…all under my cocoon overcoat.
outfit details: coat also love this and this (more sizes here) / button down jacket / jeans / backpack / booties, last seen here, obsessed with these although still not practical for winter (ha!) / sunglasses / cuff bracelet / bracelet, in blue here and black here / watch
