Are y’all sad to say goodbye to the holidays? Most people seem to be ready to get back into a routine again. I tend to agree but will be counting down the days until next Christmas in a few months I’m sure. This year has been the first year that we haven’t traveled somewhere in December. And as much as I love to get up and go (major travel itches happen every few months or so!), I really enjoyed the downtime I got to have with my three favorite people. There were days we didn’t get out of pi’s and days I didn’t cast a single glance at my iPhone to-do list and the best part was we were just simply together. No appointments, no work, no school and a lot of pancakes, movies (B and I watched TWO three+ hour movies in one day–we haven’t done that since we were dating!), blanket forts and just plain chill time. Or as chill as life with two toddlers can be. Of course there were occasional fights over new Christmas toys, melt downs over bedtime and a few new teeth in the mix. But I’ll look back over this Christmas break cherishing the QT with my family. I hope you had a good one too!!!
In other news, I’m still wrapping my head around the new year’s resolution list. What I do know is that I’m starting the year off with a major closet overhaul. I guess 2014 was the year of blue, since the majority of the pieces added to my wardrobe were in that hue. So far, I’m between pink and green for 2015. What do you think? More on this later….let’s go back to blue for a moment. I found this bright blue jacket on sales on Asos a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. It goes with everything and is the perfect pop of color on a dreary January day. And I love a cropped sweater layered over a longer button down these days. The button down is also a great cover up after hitting the desserts rather than the gym one too many times in December. And speaking of cover-ups, the button down would also look fab on a winter beach getaway. Where should we go?! Travel itch is back! Have a great week, guys!
